If your family holiday feels incomplete without your pet, fear not! At West Country Parks, we welcome responsible pet owners. Visit one of our dog friendly holiday parks in Somerset and your whole family can enjoy their holiday together. Your pet deserves a break as much as you after all!

Our self-catering holiday rentals at Riverside Holiday Village offer options to suit up to 8 visitors plus 2 pets. Dogs must remain on the lead whilst walking through the holiday park, however they can be exercised off the lead on the parks back field, adjacent to the river. We also provide a designated dog friendly area in the clubhouse where visitors can enjoy a freshly prepared meal or a well deserved drink. Pets are also permitted in the beer garden and clubhouse conservatory.

If camping is more your thing, The Rodney Stoke Caravan and Camping Park in Cheddar provides the perfect base for you and your fur-babies to explore the surrounding countryside. Just 3 miles from the stunning Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Rodney Stoke is surrounded by beautiful walking trails.

Dog friendly seasonal touring pitches are available at six of our Somerset caravan parks. Within easy reach of beautiful countryside and dramatic coastlines, our seasonal touring pitches enable you to site your caravan for the whole season, giving you and your pet the freedom to visit and explore the area at your leisure.

FAQ's about our bringing your dog on holiday

  • How many pets can I bring with me to your Somerset Holiday Park?

    Each of our Somerset Holiday Parks are managed independently and the number of pets allowed on each park ranges from 1 - 3 dogs per booking.


    Rose Farm and Edithmead Leisure and Park Homes permit 1 large dog or 2 small dogs per pitch.


    Visitors can bring 2 dogs with them to Coombes Cider Farm, New House Farm, The Rodney Stoke Caravan and Camping Park or Riverside Holiday Village.


    Fairways Holiday Park allows up to 3 dogs per pitch.

  • Can I bring my cat on holiday?

    Our pet friendly holiday options usually accomodate dogs. Should you wish to enquire about any other pet, please contact us.

  • Are dogs allowed in your clubhouses?

    Visitors to Riverside Holiday Village  are permitted to bring their pets into a designated dog friendly area in the clubhouse. Pets are also permitted in the beer garden and clubhouse conservatory.

*All pets must be included in the booking.


**All dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times within the park, however they can be exercised off the lead in the designated dog-walk areas.


***We would remind everyone that it is an offence for dogs to foul footpaths/public areas and ask that all fouling be cleaned up by the dog handler immediately.
