At Riverside Holiday Village, our family friendly holiday park near Weston-super-Mare, we offer two different types of holiday accommodation for visitors in need of wheelchair accessible facilities. These holiday caravans have been fully adapted for wheelchair users and include ramped access, wide doorways, low level worktops, hoists in the main bedroom and full wet rooms. Our pet friendly Platinum wheelchair accessible holiday caravans are especially popular, boasting all of the above, plus a private sundeck.

There are a limited number of wheelchair accessible holiday caravans on the park, so if you're planning a visit, we would suggest that you book early to avoid disappointment.

Accessible facilities at Riverside Holiday Village

The Kingfisher Club at Riverside Holiday Village
We want all of our visitors to enjoy their time at our holiday park. That's why all of our facilities are located on the ground floor including our shop, reception, games arcade, clubhouse, sports bar, launderette and shower block. All main walkways are level and tarmacked - and all of our holiday caravans provide adjacent car parking.

Keys for our disabled toilets and washroom are available from reception. Please ask when you check-in.

  • Wheelchair access

    The holiday park is largely accessible to wheelchair users. All facilities are located on the ground floor and disabled parking bays are located outside reception. All main walkways are level and tarmacked and accessible toilet facilities and wet-rooms are situated in the main facilities block and campsite utilities block.


    Unfortunately, areas of the back field (including our new Meadow Walk) are inaccessible to standard wheelchairs. An ‘all terrain’ manual wheelchair is available to borrow for use on-site. Our wheelchair is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Please ask at reception for more information.


  • Visitors with visual impairments

    Assistance dogs are welcome at Riverside Holiday Village and may enter the main facilities block and clubhouse. All facilities are located on the ground floor and all main walkways are level and tarmacked. 


    Black and white or large print copies of our Clubhouse Menu are available upon request.

  • Neurodiverse visitors

    If you are having difficulties with anything at our holiday park, please speak to a member of staff. Members of our team are currently undertaking training under the guidance of the National Autistic Society.


    Picnic benches on the back field provide a quieter space for visitors, with access to our new Meadow Walk and Sensory Play (currently under development).


  • Swimming pool

    Equipped with a sloping floor, our indoor heated swimming pool is fully accessible to visitors with mobility issues. Accessible changing rooms are located in the pool area and there is a separate ‘splash’ pool.

  • Special dietary requirements

    We can cater for special dietary requirements including vegans, vegetarians, lactose intolerant and gluten free. Please contact us before your visit if you require further information.
